I have just finished a couple of projects using Vegas6 and DVD Architect3. My problem is this both projects took very, very long to render on a Gateway 2.4 gig laptop with a gig of ram. I am using Win XP sp2. I am using a combination of Internal (2) and external (3) drives.
One project was only a 2 min. conversion from avi to mpeg1 and it took over an hour. The second was a 56 min project of a family reunion with a some transitions, extra audio, and 30 min of fx to brighten the final product. (I shot about 30 min. indoors with mood lighting.) :- ( It took more than twelve hours!),
BTW, I started the second project in Premiere Elements and buned a disc in less than two hours, but I wasn't happy with the brightness levels so I redid the project in Vegas.
I have done projects in Vegas 3, 4 and 5, without this problem.
