Replace Media and Keep Comment from Original?

Grazie wrote on 9/13/2003, 2:39 AM
Resulting from SteadyHand Treatment to Original Clip
Is there any way of doing the above?

Yes, I could introduce the "new" or "altenative" clip and then copy and paste the comment field into the altenative clip. I've noticed that when I "replace" the comments - quite correctly - are gone.

I'm not making myself work, I'm finding ways to make my workflow better.

Grazie, i believe SonyEPM is asking you for a link to the website you allude to in your first post. You have a title that is underlined, but it's not a link we can click on. Was there a website where you saw this technique illustrated? If so, where is it?

Sorry folks! - THAT IS not a URL! - It is me underlining a "Heading" for what came next.

Kelly thanks for that feedback & my apologies.

Anyways, my question still remains . . .

Ok...

No- replacing the media file blows away the comment.

Ok...there is no way to change files and retain comment info tagged to another file.

It would be interesting if you could tag comments to "events," "media," "track," or "project" the way you can with effects. Perhaps regions and markers, too?

A product suggestion, perhaps.
