Probably a real basic question, new user that I am...
How does one destructively edit/resize a video clip?
Suppose I capture some home movies (using my new canopus advc-55) via the capture tool. The captured file is say five minutes long, and after viewing and editing I decide that I only want to use 30 seconds. When I trim to create a 30 clip in VMS, the original file stays untouched, as it should, by design. But suppose I *want* to make that original file smaller so as not to use up disk space, etc. Is there way to do this. In other words, how can I edit and resize the actual captured file? Can I d this in vegas or do I need a different tool?
Thanks in advance!
