[Resolved] RTX 2080 Card not showing up in GPU Acceleration Selector?

rstrong wrote on 8/9/2019, 12:21 AM

I was running a GTX 1060 video card that did show up in the GPU Acceleration selector. But my new RTX 2080 does not show up. How do I get it back? Using driver 431.60 if that helps.

thanks, robert

Interestingly, if I click your link, I get a driver download page, but If I try to search for Windows 7 drivers for the RTX 2080 on their site, it yields no results.

The issue is with the driver, but I can't find another version to recommend to you that Nvidia says supports Windows 7.

Best bet... upgrade to Windows 10. Your RTX and directX 12 features, should you choose to use it for gaming (or any other app that may utilize DirectX12 features) rely on it, so you're not utilizing the full potential of the card without it. Also, Vegas 17 requires it, and it is a MASSIVE improvement over 16. Even if you aren't ready to upgrade, best start getting ready for it on the OS end of things.
