Return to menu

lordyfan wrote on 11/11/2020, 4:16 AM

I am using DVD Architect 6 in blu ray mode. I want to put both seasons of The Mandalorian on a Blu Ray for my stepson. Here is the dilemma, i want the disc to return to the main menu after each episode rather than play all episodes after the chosen one...Is this possible?..If so, how do i do it. Simple guidelines please as i have had 2 strokes. Thanks in advance

If each episode is a separate video, you need only set the End Action/Destination to Most Recent Menu.

That should be the default setting when you add a video to a menu page. Is that not your case?

Yes it is thank you..i am making a demo of the first season now. as i'm using one of the in made templates and it says menu 1. I thought i may have to return to there as there is a menu 1 option.

think i went wrong..all i see is is the screenshot. Before i started editing, the end action section seemed ok

Your screen capture shows the End Action for your menu page, not your movie. Double-click on an episode so that the video itself opens up on your workspace and then check out its End Action.

Thanks Steve, worked a treat when i previewed!. Had to abandon the idea though...8 eps worked out at 65gb!. The actual master files are only 4gb!. did a single movie of 4gb no problems on a BR disc. Wonder if i have to change something

Sorry for the Really late response Steve, Myself, stepson and partner have had Covid..Unfortunately, my partner Mary didn't pull through and passed a few weeks ago.

I have followed your steps, but only one problem remains, When i put the disc in the player, instead of opening up the menu, it goes straight to the first item!..Am i still doing something wrong?

I'm heartbroken to hear of your challenges, lordy. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss.

As for your DVD, there is an indicator on the DVD overview map that shows what will load first on your disc. Your screen capture doesn't show the overview window so I can't tell where it is on your disc. But it may be in a place other than on your primary menu.

Thank you for your kind words, it's been a long Final road full of unexpected twists and turns but, Her last journey came to a satisfactory destination.

Ok, to business... I think i found the solution..just rendering a new project now.. I'm not too confident, the preview looked fine and worked fine BUT the final render didn't. I did notice the final episode on this disc was set to 'most recent menu' not the custom menu 'episodes 1-8'. i'm hoping that solves the problem. Not too confident that the menu will open when i play the disc, Thinking it MAY go to directly to play ep 1 then return to menu. We'll see after the render and prepare. Will let you know the outcome

Once again Steve, thank you for your kind words

Paul
