You should probably ask in the audio forum if you want to know specifically how this would be useful for audio. For me, I have wanted to reverse audio for music composition / sound fx / sampling purposes or to match with reversed video. It was always a pain in the butt before because you had to go to another app, and if it was a trimmed clip you would have to render it out first. Now we flip a switch :)

edit: just as an example, a cymbal crash is often reversed which makes a cool "build to a sharp climax" effect.

I hook up a lot of Hip Hip tracks in VEGAS so the 'reverse audio' will help me with the Cuss Words. Before I had been using a sound effect or muting the obscenities. Now I'm able to just reverse it. Kinda helps keep the vibe of the music goin. It would be better if they didnt cuss but I don't want to stiffle the creativeness by telling them a different way of doing their thing.
