Is that a blending mode or adding an Fx like invert colors?

Jessariah67 wrote on 10/25/2025, 4:42 AM

Selected events have inverted colors. The option seems to be gone.

Dexcon wrote on 10/25/2025, 5:15 AM

It seems that the 'Reverse Event Background Color' option has been removed from the Options/Preferences/Display tab in VP23 - it's there in VP22 but not in VP23.

I see, I don't recall that.

Steve_Rhoden wrote on 10/25/2025, 6:19 AM

@Jessariah67 Yeah, the Reverse Event Background Color option has long time been a part of Vegas under the Display tab in Preferences. Will double check to see if the option has been relocated instead.

Dexcon wrote on 10/25/2025, 6:46 AM

I should have mentioned earlier that I couldn't find that reverse option moved elsewhere in Preferences .. and it wouldn't seem that it's listed in Internal Prefs either - not under "reverse .... " anyway.

It's gonna take some getting used to, since that feature made differentiating the selections a lot easier.

Dexcon wrote on 10/25/2025, 7:27 AM

Would the 'Track Display Color' options available by R clicking the track header help?

From the description I didn't understand you were referring to a display preference. Now I see, though don't have a fix as the look of 23 has changed a lot.

Jessariah67 wrote on 10/25/2025, 1:19 PM

I checked options under track colors. Not there, either. The yellow outline was in 22, so that's not a "replacement" feature. I just really like my audio on white.

The Vegas Pro Historian responds:

I'd probably be happy if they lost the switch and just left the audio background color white.

One more vote for that - great memory - I forgot that was default back in the "lighter" days...

I 4th, 5th, 6th this. Please add Reverse Event Background Color back in. The red/orange audio record line is very difficult to see in our studios. thanks
