Right clicking envelope bar does not establish points for vol. change

I am using Vegas Pro 18 Build 527 on a desktop PC Class: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4820K CPU @ 3.70GHz and running Windows 10 with 16Gig ram

When editing a music sound track under the narration track, I create an audio envelope but I am unable to create points for volume changes where narration occurs on the main track. I have not had this problem in previous versions of Vegas Pro. Perhaps I have missed something important?

Right clicking directly on the audio envelope should create a context window in which the top choice is 'Add Point'. However, if you double left click on the audio envelope, that will automatically create a point.

You can also create a selection area around the narration section and then drag the volume envelope in that selection area and it will automatically create the four points needed to change the volume in that section.

I usually double-click on the envelope line to add a point.

drag the volume envelope in that selection area and it will automatically create the four points needed to change the volume in that section.

I use this method extensively, easy and saves a lot of time. Using the right-click context menu to add an envelope point is slow. (if it works, but I have no idea way it does not). Reseting Vegas will probably restore the command.

You can also rightclick and then hit "P". If you have something like a Contour Shuttle, you could make this a macro and only use one button.
