Why?

I'm obviously overlooking something. I use a combo of DVD43/Handbrake. Final output was .mp4. Every time I try to open the file in 9a it crashes immediately. I still have 8c installed and when I open it there, it's fine. You may ask, "why not just do what you need to do in 8c"? Well, because I want to figure this out. I don't like it when things don't work properly and I want to fix it, not put a bandaid on it.
