SMSv12 - I needed to add a VoiceOver, created a Track, named it and included a "Volume" line.
The VO came from a (dot) WAV file recorded elsewhere, using a digital recorder, with any peaks softened in SoundForge Studio.
When played, it's fine, within the limitations of the Edit.
However, if I want to Split the VO ( so it aligns with the action ), when I Select I find other clips on other tracks are selected.
I choose Group, Remove-From and then it doesn't select the other pieces ( which Is what I'd expect in the first place ).
However, if I split the VO track again . . . . the last piece has now lost the "Remove from Group" attribute . . . . so I have t perform this again . . . .
It's just slightly annoying . . . but Why does this happen in the first place?
The new track shouldn't be linked to anything else . . . . I made it the lowest Track, if that's any help.
It's really worrying, when concentrating on the last tracks ( by Track enlarging ), since I wouldn't notice the rogue grouping which is creating black-holes whenever the VO is moved . . . . Fortunately I spotted this and could "Go-Back" but I wonder why this is occurring - I've not noticed it before . . . .
A few days later, I tried adding a "better" VO using another "Better VO" Track . . . and this behaved like the previous one. So this was a freshly booted PC ( Win7 32b ) and a new SMS. [ although the same old (dot)vf file ].
