So I'm working on a video review, and one scene requires a picture to rotate on a 3D axis. And I was wondering if this could be done in Vegas. The closest example I can offer is what the little Penguin logo does in the first 13 or so seconds of this video.
Correct, my mistake. He DID say the "Logo". My response was to make sure that readers here were told that Vegas wouldn't do the spinning penguins. Simples.
3D rotation might not even be worth the effort. It looks like it could be easily duplicated by just flipping the image horizontally in pan/crop several times. Make sure your keyframes are set to "linear" so it doesn't speed up/down.
If you're using 3D Track motion you'll need a full screen logo, then move it BACK along the Z axis. Then you rotate (not orient) it when it's in the right position.
For the pan/crop you would have the logo the size you wan, turn off stretch to fill the frame & make the width alternate between positive and negative it's initial value.
