Save a region to mediapool

Maybe I am missing something here, but is there a way to save regions to somewhere so that I can drag the regions (cuts) to the time line at a later time? ex. I have this footage and I want to take each section of footage and save it so that I have "person clapping", "person nodding", "person smiling" and save all those kinda like bins, and just drag those to the relivant places later?

You can see media regions in the Explorer view ("Views" button, turn on "Region View"). You can also see regions in the Trimmer, where they can be selected and brought to the timeline.

CD Architect 5 has a Regions View in the Media Pool, a feature that is very likely to migrate to Vegas 4.
