I just upgraded to V9 from V7. I think I even have some V4 projects (before Sony took over). Would there be any advantage to open my projects that were saved in earlier version and then save them as V9 projects? I'm concerned with compatibility issues and would like to be able to open past projects if I need to, even with future upgrades.
Another question: Vegas has a default pixel format setting of 8-bit (in Properties) with options for 32-bit video levels or 32-bit full range. Could you explain what the options would be for and should I just leave it at 8-bit for most projects? I always change the render and resample qualities to best.
Vegas defaults to MS Sound Mapper for the Audio Device in Preferences. I do have an Auzentech Prelude sound card. Should I change it to Auzentech ASIO or does Vegas work better with the default MS Sound Mapper?
