Saved over wrong project file

Hey there,

So I accidentally saved over one of my other projects, is there a way for me to recover an older save of the file? I'm using vegas pro 14 on windows 10

I've checked for the auto saves but for some reason I only have 3 auto saved files, 2 from march and 1 from last september. I have no idea as to why it doesn't have anything more recent.

I have also tried right clicking on the file in question and choosing "Restore previous versions" but I'm met with an empty list.

Is there any other way I can get the old save back or am I screwed out of 3 days of editing?

Thanks

UPDATE: found this file in the save folder with the original project and it was dated back to when I last actually worked it, and it was my savior.

just change the name and take off the '.bak' leaving '.veg' and i was able to open the project from back before I had saved over it.

Thankfully I was able to save it before anyone show this but thanks anyway :)

Project .VEG files are small files, so don't worry for having multiple save as backups.

It would be ideal if the project you are working on opened the project file folder containing that project and not the last project file folder opened.
