Is there a way to render a project to DV quality with dependencies on the original DV files?
When I print to DV device, the project renders the video and audio sections before printing to tape. This takes forever when there are many rendered sections. If I close the project and return to it later to print another copy, it rerenders everything again before printing to tape.
I came to VV 3 after using Edit DV. Edit DV provided the option of saving the rendered file with dependencies, which saved only the rendered sections, resulting in a small file. The next time you open the project, all the renders were still there. Printing to tape did not require rerendering (unless further edits were made).
The reason I need to print to tape more than once is that I print VHS copies directly from my HDD. As long as I make all the copies during the same session, it is not a problem. But when I close the project and reopen it later, I'm back to square one.
TIA.
