Save it as plug-in package (click the small green icon at top of the window, then Save As)

Thanks but it HAS to be saved as a preset. The extension I'm using in conjunction with this will be looking for a preset.

Vegas can not save multiple keyframes as a preset, only as a plug-in package.

I have been asking / begging for this for a long time

If we could save animation presets /keyframe motion. it would save a lot of time in generating new projects
But alas not yet.

Preset packages allow you to save animations. You can save a single effect with multiple keyframes, as well as the chain of different effects with their keyframes.
From help: "An effects package allows you to quickly recall frequently used chains of effects. FX packages retain their chain order and individual plug-in settings."
