Saving Plugin Chains for Later Installs

Former user wrote on 2/19/2002, 10:30 AM
If I have created several plugin chains (using Plugin Chainer) and saved them out - can I backup those chain files to CDR and re-import them to the Vegas interface if I have to re-install the OS or something at a later time?

These plugin chains are very cool but I don't want to write down every setting on every plug (or screen cap them) so I can recreate the chain after a reformat.

Also - has anyone had any luck exchanging favorite chains with other Vegas users?

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Cuzin B

it's tricky. search the forum on 'transfer presets'.

you have to get proper keys from the registry and export them. sometimes you also need files from your Vegas folder to go along with the .reg files.

it is possible, and if you have a lot of chains it might be worth figuring out how to store and share them. it would be a welcome feature to add as a tool to Vegas.
