Saving video clips

I have imported video clips from a CD. When I restart my file the program has to access the video clips from the original CD. Is there a way to save the clips so that the CD doesn't have to be inserted?

There's a very easy way. Copy them over to the hard drive first before importing them.

If you've got a project already underway, copy the clips to the hard drive anyway, then remove the CD. The next time you open the project Vegas will complain that it can't find the clips. Use the option to specify new paths and files, browse the hard drive to get to the clip it's looking for, and it will find the rest of them there too.
