Scaling Problem

My desktop computer died and I've switched to a Dell XPS 15 laptop for video editing. I just reloaded Vegas 11 (build 701) 64 bit in preparation for possible upgrading for version 13. However, when I open the program it is not scaling properly to the different screen size -- the type is a miniscule 2 pt. and the top of the page is squished so that only half of the headings across the top for edit etc. are covered by the display. See the screen shot attached.
Is there any way to scale the display to the new screen size, yet get the type large enough to read?

Sorry, forgot to edit that line out. Can't figure out how to get the screen shot to attach to this. But what you'd see is the usual Vegas opening page with the type so small you can hardly read it.

Read the Sticky 3 on the top of the post list; it will explain how to show a picture in the forum, it's fairly simple.
