Scene detection

paul669 wrote on 3/12/2008, 12:02 PM
I've just started using Movie Studio. I can see how to detect scenes when capturing video, but I've also got some old video files on my computer which have not been split into scenes. When I import them into Movie Studio I can't see a way of getting the program to detect scenes automatically.

Can anyone help?

Vegas doesn't have any scene detection capability. Only VidCap can do this while capturing.

There is a free capture utility named Scenalyzer that purportedly has the ability to split up a file after it is captured. I'm sure you can google for it easily enough.
