Screen capture does not function

I get a window for Screen capture with Video and Audio sources, but it does not capture the screen or the audio. All I get is a wav file that does not play. I can't see any audio mic level increase either...

Which program and build do you use and show us a screensht of the Vegas Screen capture interface before you click to start the capture.

Thanks for the Info.
You have to select (light grey border, not black) the sources you want to see and hear. With me no problem.

If on your system there is an internal webcam, ensure it is enabled in the Windows OS settings.
