Screen Capture is black

I have Movavi for the occasional screen capture, but thought it was time to check out the new Vegas Screen Capture facility.

I have a two screen set up, but in the Preview in the Vegas Capture Window, the main part of the right hand screen is black, even though there is video playing on the actual right screen, and I have selected that screen with the top left check mark.
If I drag the right hand screen window across to the left hand screen, it still shows as black, even though the resty of the left hand Preview shows the Vegas Timeline ok
Anyone else had this problem?

Cheers

Thanks for that Edward.

I had a good read through (I have a NVidia GeForce GTX1080). but whilst fiddling around with a few settings I found my solution -

The Browser!

I had previously been using Google Chrome and could only get a black screen, but when I changed to Microsoft Edge, suddenly the video was on the screen !

I don't understand how this can be, but can now happily use Vegas for screen capture.

Incidentally, whichever program I use for Screen Capture, the lip synch always seems to be off, so I have to put it on the Timeline, move the video about 5 frames to the left and re-render. Anyway, that part is easy.

Cheers

I'm using Vegas Stream for screen captures and then use the included script to pull the stream into VEGAS. It pulls everything in in sync.

Thanks Edward,

I didn't know about Vegas Stream, but I need to re-render anyway, as the audio volume for screen captures is always too low.
