Screen Shot Tutorials

I watch a lot of tutorials for many programs. I find them to be a big help for me. I have always wondered, how do they do that?? Is there a software program that takes a live screen shot of your computer while you work? Seems like magic to me, but enough people do it, so maybe there is a fairly easy way to do that. Thanks. Well, it ranges between quite easy and a few $$ depending on
exactly what you want. Alt-PrtScreen will capture the current window
to the clipboard where you can stuff it in an image editor etc and save it as a jpg. Next level up (which I really like) is a cool product
called "Snagit" that allows you to quickly grab a chunk of the screen
(you select what you want), add captions, arrows etc. An excellent
product and only $40 -- you can find it here:

The next level up after that gets more expensive and allows you to
capture a window showing cursor motion etc. Check out
Camtasia (which I have not used). Hope that helps.

Thank you guys for all the great info and links. That is exactly what I was looking for :) Camtasia is a bit out of my league, but snagit seems to be made by the same company and is doable. I will download the trial version, and compare it with the other two free versions that were recommended. Thanks for always being so willing to share. Take care. Cin

LOL I guess you are not a AC CP. That would be a Associated Content Producer. www.AssociatedContent.com pays people to write articles, produce videos and tutorials. It is a great way to make a little extra cash.
