Screenblast Keeps Crashing....

GerryLeacock wrote on 3/28/2004, 9:03 AM
and it's getting VERY annoying!!!! I'm working on this 1 hour project - hundreds of clips and stills. Sometimes all I have to do it slide the timebar, and the program crashes. Here's the error message. Does any of this technical mumbo jumbo mean anything to anyone?

I have 512 megs of memory, and a P2.6 computer. 2 huge hard drives.

Do you have any MP3 files in your project? If so, what do you know about them (e.g., do they contain embedded bitmaps, bitrates, etc.)? mpgdxplg.dll is used for reading MP3 files and it is shown in your crash dump.

Or do you have Adobe Photoshop installed? It is known to cause problems with displaying thumbnails and could affect thumbnails in video events on the timeline as well as the media pool. See the following Knowledge Base article for the workaround:

Crashing in the Media Pool View

I have MP3 in the project, however I have no idea if they contain anything embedded, nor would I know where to look.

No to Adobe Photoshop.

Moot point now, as I have finished the project. Thanks for your help!
