Screenblast vs. Vegas Movie Studio

I currently have Sony Screenblast (uses Sonic MyDVD to author) and i see that Sony has an upgrade for $29.95 to Vegas Movie Studio+DVD (uses DVD Architect Stuio 4.0). Can anyone tell me the difference between the Screenblast vs. the Vegas? Features, stability, Sonic vs. Architect?

it appears that Screenblast is being phased out so I am thinking I need to upgrade to stay in the loop. thanks

Vegas Movie Studio ver 4 new stuff

The name "screenblast" is what is being phased out - the product is nearly identical to ver 3, with a few nifty new features. DVD architect seems to be a bigger portion of what is new.

Well worth the $30 upgrade, which includes S&H. I received mine in a day or 2 from when I ordered it.

That's kind of what i thought. It appears to add a couple more transitions, and a trimming tab but the DVD Architect 4.0 appears to have a lot more control of the final process that I haven't been real happy with on Sonic MyDVD. Has the architect given you more control and manipulation abilities?
thanks

The difference between MyDVD and DVD Architect is like the difference between a paper airplane and a 747.

... and the 747 is outfitted like Air Force One.

Lessee ... SONY gives you MyDVD for free; you can upgrade to Vegas Studio 4 + DVD for under $30. Geometrically speaking this means that the price increase from MyDVD to DVD Architect is infinite, which is MUCH larger than the price increase from a paper airplane to Air Force One!

Man, $29.95 sure is a cheap infinity! Go for it!
