So I guess if you have two of them, then you think they are worth while?

they do what they say they should .... the samsung remote control is the pits, so is player settings .. the picture using the DVI (i have a DVI connections) is awesome (use good cables - I use granite dvi)

I have maybe 6 or 7 different dvd players here though -- its not like i only use those .. but i do use one on my main video projection system and on a 40" HDTV CRT

Are there any players that will uprez using the three color component video connections? My slightly out of CRT High Definition TV only has component ins for high def.

Try the Avel LinkPlayer 2

I have this one for viewing my HD projects direct from my LAN... it also is a DVD player - and will up-convery standard def as well. A VERY cool gadget.

It uses component-out for HD

That looks extremely cool! How is the HD WMV playback?

It's pretty good - but the audio doesn't come across (some DRM issue I think)....

I mostly play out HD MPEG... and it works great for that.

I've got the Bravo D1 - I think it was one of the first DVI upconverting DVD players. The unit definitely has it's "quirks" but the picture is amazing - sharpness is noticably better than component. Just wish it wasn't so finicky about DVD's - sometimes I have to power cycle the unit to get it to play.
