I'm putting a DVD together for a short HDV project and I'm wondering if I can put an HD media file on the DVD and have it called up by an autorun batch file so that when someone sticks the disk in a computer instead of a DVD player, it plays the HD file instead of the lower rez DVD files. Has anyone done this. I have the files all rendering in a batch render tonight so that I could try this tomorrow. Has anyone done this? If so, do you have any advice? It seems like a pretty simple thing to do. I was planning on using a 720 30p mpeg4 format rendered from Nero for the media file for Mac/Windows compatibility and because it just looks so darned good.
