Seamless Motion Menus

I have been making some pretty nifty motion menus in Vegas and setting them up for DVD-A. The video and the audio is the exact same length and I have been setting the page properties to loop the video. However, at the end of the video, there is a momentary pause where the menu goes black (not the text in DVD-A, just the background) before the loop starts again. Is there a way to eliminate this pause? Should I just make the loop longer? Right now they are pretty short to save disc space. What is an ideal time for a loop?

Interested to hear ideas.

I have seen this in my DVD's as well.....it occurs on intro movies as well as motion menus. I am not sure if this is a problem in the demo version or not. I have seen this behavior when a DVD changes titles as opposed to chapters....on my DVD's the intro movie is title 1 whereas the motion menu is actually title 2 and that pause could be from going back and forth from titles......it is seemless when it goes from chapter to chapter.

Just My 2 Cents,

This is a limitation of the DVD spec. There is no way to eliminate the pause. As you suggested, you can reduce its frequency by making the loop length longer but this will increase the disc space used.

The "Seamlessness" I hoped for with DVD-A was resolved when I could use the DVD-A burning engine (which did not work for me until I was able to get the patch) instead of Nero. Learn something everyday.

I will say that since most of my videos right now are mere transfers from VHS, which require minimal editing, it has been fun trying fancier stuff in Vegas to develop some really cool menus.
