I wonder if anyone else has noticed this with the latest update. While the secondary monitor preview in Vegas has always been mediocre for interlaced content (Good picture quality but fields not displayed properly), now it has become worse. I noticed that now the preview stutters every other second or so, something that I'm positive didn't happen in 9.0d at least. By this I'm not referring to the usual AVCHD stutter; while that is still very much present, when you do a RAM preview the motion is supposed to be smooth. Interlaced content may not display correctly, but at least it was smooth. Now, it has this annoying stutter that is very distracting. It's not as bad as the AVCHD stutter when Vegas loses its breath and can't display the footage at 29.97 fps anymore, this is a much more subtle stutter, but it's there every other second, which is what makes it distracting. It is more evident when you see the camera do a pan or move in any way.
I remember editing a few things in 9.0d a few days ago, and I didn't see this, so I think they messed something up in this latest update. Again, this is not AVCHD stutter, because no matter how much Vegas struggles with the format, once you selected a loop and did a RAM preview, it's not playing from the m2ts file anymore, it's playing directly from RAM.
Cliff, if you're reading this, were you able to find out more about the Intensity Pro? I read you got replies from Sony and Blackmagic, and it's supposed to work, but does it display fields properly, as if you were playing the footage from the camcorder connected directly to the TV set, or not?
