Hello, I'm rather new to Sony's editing software and these forums. I apologize if this is not the correct area to place this thread, as my issue is with Sony Movie Studio 13 (I couldn't find a forum for my particular product).
Anyway, I just spent the last 24 hours rendering a gameplay video and found out that the voice-over audio didn't appear in the rendered file. The commentary audio played fine and in-sync when previewed in the project.
I messed around and eventually tried to figure what was going on through the tutorials. The adding audio effects tutorial pointed out that only the 8th track could be used for editing audio effects. I decided to render a short test video with secondary audio in the 8th track and found it to work.
I'm really confused. Why does only the 8th track allow the added audio to appear in the rendered product? What's the use of tracks 3-7 if the added media doesn't make a difference in the final product? Am I doing something wrong? All the tracks are the default ones created by the program and only the volume slider has been altered in any of them.
