Selective Prerender

Still on VV3 and had a problem with doing a prerender (DV NTSC). I prerendered a 16 minute show which is a mix between stills and .avi. But there are random gaps in the prerender, usually on an .avi file. Nothing unusual about the files that weren't rendered. I can't even selectively prerender it. Most of the .avi file did render. Did a search and couldn't find a hit. Any thoughts, please....

Thanks,

TomG

Hi Tom,

Native DV files are never rendered in Vegas unless you apply filters to them or manipulate them in some other way such as adding transitions. In the case of transitions, only those parts are rendered and the rest of the file isn't. Of course you can render the file to another file if you like. I hope this is the info you were looking for.

Thanks Mike... When I looked back the DV files that were rendered did have filters applied. That explains it.
