Semi OT: HDV Field Monitoring

For field monitoring, are there any pro recomendations? I'm seeing a "new" family that has strange "high-def" features of 1440x234! That's very odd in my head.

Would I do just as well with a nice 7" like this?

or, for my Z1U, would the HDV versions be better?
One guy highly recommended this:

which is 800x480 but a lot of money.
Any thoughts and recomendations would be most appreciated.

Matthew, let me ask you, and I'm trying to be smart or anything, but how is buying one of these monitors going to improve your film? What's wrong with the flip out monitor you have on the camera?

Mostly the flip out monitors just don't cut it for setting focus.

All the years I've shot film and video, I've never used a monitor for focusing. In all those years I've never had a shot out of focus (that started out of focus).

Shooting HDV, I've been told to use an external for focus, but my other two reasons are for "director viewing," (I like to have someone's eyes inthe monitor as I do the camera work)(it's tough for me to know if my shot was smooth beginning to end if I'm the one behind the lens) and also, I'm buying they RedrockMicro M2, which flips the image upsidedown. So I'd like to have a monitor that re-flips is so watching the shots isn't such a challenge. Also, it isn't rare that the client wants to look over my shoulder at what I'm shooting (I do cable commercials for a living). I do what I can to discourage this, but sometimes it can't be helped. And, when I have a particularly picky client, I WANT them to see each shot. That way there are no surprises when I deliver the final product.
