Seperating the Left and Right Audio Tracks

Does Vegas 12 Pro Edit Do this? I know you can right click and select the right or left, and even combine them. But how can you seperate and slide one side left or right, over or under the other? Is this possible. Have a wicked echo effect going on from sound from a board and my camera mic picking up ambient sound from the audience. Now I have a formula I use to fix this problem very well but it's time consuming. So if the left and right channels can slide independent of one another would make it very easy. Any thought?

Just make a new track and copy the audio there, then make them into two mono tracks. Ungroup them, and you're in business.

Rather than just two mono tracks, might be better to right-mouse-button click on each one after duplication and from the popup menu choose Channels / Left only one one and Right only on the other.

That's what I normally do when two separate mono tracks are wanted for mono mixing. For instance, a host/guest interview with the host on left channel and the guest mic on the right originally recorded to a 'stereo' file.
