Sequential TGA's to AVI

Hi,

Brand new to VideoFactory so I may be missing something very obvious here. I have no problem loading in a series of sequential TGA's to a Video Track. The problem is that each image plays for several seconds. Any tips on getting the playback to be one image per frame or to play the entire sequence of images within an alloted time span?

In another program not nearly as feature rich as VF it took me 5 seconds to do it from when I first opened up the program and a few minutes to get a playable AVI from it. I don't think it can't be much harder in VideoFactory.

Unfortunately this is a function that VideoFactory just isn't designed to do, although it's big brother Vegas handles it nicely. The above link is a description of how to accomplish what you want to do, but it's a little tricky. That description was in answer to someone who wanted to have their still images run at 24 frames per second. Modify the math as necessary for whatever frame rate you want.

It's not as bad as it looks! You only have to change the default time once. You can adjust the overall play time by grouping the images, ctrl left clicking on one end of the group and dragging to the required length.

I'm working on figuring out the best default internal time to use (any recomendations) but maybe it does not matter as I just figured out how to expand and compress things beyond the .25 to 4 play rate speed limitations so I can still handle independent stills for slide show speeds of several seconds per still. Any idea why it is limited to between .25 and 4 when slowing down or speeding things up? Can this setting be changed in the internal options as well?

I think I can arrive at a flexible solution here now even though it is a little quirky.

It's probably best to pick the exact time you want for each project. You can change the internal settings as often as you wish.
