Set Constant Length in a series of Events

I have a series of events (photos). They are all of the same EVENT (for example a wedding reception). When I load them through Project Media they are only about 5 or so seconds long. I want to extent their time (length) to at least 10 - 15 seconds (for example). How can I do that in one operation (if I can), since I have 20 to 30 events (photos), without doing them one by one?

In the menu bar, click Options >> Preferences. In the pop-up window, select the "Editing" tab. In the middle of that window is "New still image length (seconds)". Whatever you set this to, that's how long a still image will be when you drag it to the timeline. This will not change the length of items already on the timeline.

Also in the Editing tab is the "Cut to overlap conversion (seconds)" This is the default overlap when dragging multiple items to the timeline, or the "snap to" overlap when manually overlapping two events.

To change all the photos already on the timeline, select them all, press G to group, and then hold the Ctrl key down while you drag the right edge of the last one to the right. This stretches them all out together. You will be limited to extending them to 4x of their original length with this method.

Of course, you can also drag to the left to shorten them all.

Thanks for the help, but if I understand what your suggesting, if one event was 5 seconds long and the next event was 10 seconds long, when I did the grouping and pulled out the last one, the one that is 5 seconds could be 6 seconds and the one that is 10 seconds would be 12 seconds. Is that right? If so that would not solve my problem of getting them all the same length, right?

Ahhh, so in that case you'd probably have to either individually adjust the ones that are different first, or start over and follow Tim's suggestion.
