'Set Default Track FX' not working

Hi,

After trying to apply Track FX (EQ, compressor, noise gate) settings and wanting the same preset to be applied to all future audio tracks, I tried 'Set Default Track Properties' (Track FX checked), but the settings failed to apply to any new audio tracks.

Here’s a video demonstrating this, after creating a Vocals 1 preset I wanted to apply to all future tracks.

Would very much appreciate any insight.

I think this does only remember which Track FX should be used as default, not which presets should be used.

Thanks, that's a shame, I wish there was a quicker/automatic way to apply my presets.

There surely is one. It's called "FX package/chain preset".

Appreciate that good sir! I'll research it.

You can save a number of fx with their settings as an fx package. Not obvious where it is though. When you have the track fx settings done hit the fx button to go to the list of fx with your chain still at the top. Look for saving as an fx package. You can give the fx package a name and call it up anytime and apply to track or event.

Thanks dude, that's what I did.

To go one step further for my lazy self - is there a script to add the Track FX presets/plugin chain to everything with the touch of a button?
