setting a end/stop for slide shows

HI all, I need to know how make the slide show stop. I had a video clip that was 1:59 minutes long and now I have created a slide show with pictures on a completely new screen and the show doesn't stop at the last picture, keeps running for the full 1:59 minutes then pops back to the last picture and stops. This leaves a huge black space at the end of the slide show. Can you please help me!
Seems Sony Vegas seems to remembers the last timeline and I don't know to change it.
I have Sony Vegas Movie Studio 8.
Thank you

It seems that you either have music, or another clip that goes as far as 1:59. You must split the music clip where the last picture is and remove the last bit, or remove the last image at 1.59 (if it exists), and then re-encode. You see, audio should only be as long as the last video/image picture in the timeline.

Hi Eugenia, I didn't add anything but the pics. I checked that nothing had been left or accidently was placed on any track. I did find out though when I rendered the project that it stopped at the proper time.
Still not sure why it insists on using the 1:59 time line. I am going to put more pictures in to see if then it will go past the 1:59 and forget that setting. Thanks again.

Don't worry about it. Vegas always continues playing past the last event on the timeline. As you pointed out, it renders properly. So, what difference does it make?
