Setting Multi Regions

I have burn a DVD in Australia and now I'm trying to play it in the UK but it does not play. The DVD was tested in several machines (different brands) in Australia and PC DVD as well.

Any suggestions, the content was burned into a DVD-R Media

What is the video format in Australia and what is it in UK? Do they match? It is striclty DVD player issue as DVDA does not set any region, as a matter of fact, all self burn DVDs are "Generic" use and can not be regioned
