Setting time for introduction media

A thousand pardons, I lost my notes on how to do this and now can't seem to find the right search words to find it again here. How does one set the time duration on a .PNG image used as introduction media (no audio)?

I can't find a setting but can see the setting in the "optimize" screen. Do I have to create a video clip of the correct length? I don't remember doing it that way before.

I would drop the png into a video track in vegas. Drag it to the length you want it to show, then render it out to mpeg-2. Then you can link to this in DVDA as your intro before the menu and it will play it for the exact time you rendered it for in vegas.
