files for distribution in Windows Media 9 format ????

Whats up support ????

This is a peer to peer support forum. I's also unmoderated i.e. no one at Sony is watching us although they do post information at times.

I've never seen a need to set Protection and I doubt VV supports it.

I'd try rendering out an AVI file and then use Windows MEdia Encoder, it's free from uStuff, if that doesn't support it cannot help.

No, Vegas does not support DRM (Digital Rights Management) protection in renders to Windows Media.

I did check the online help for Windows Media Encoder 9, it looks like it does support encoding with DRM. Look in the index for DRM and you'll find some information on how to do this.
