Just open a new file, put your settings the way you want and save it as "blank" or "template" or whatever and tehn just "SAVE AS" when you start a new project.

That sounds great but I would like to know where that template file is saved because I would like to archive that file. I redo my computer periodically and it would easy just to plug that file right back into the system without the need to go through everything again. That is great but could you also tell me where that template file is located. Thanks

It's saved anywhere you want to put it. Use File / SaveAs, give it a name and pick a place to put it. It's just a plain o'l .veg file like all the other .veg files you've saved.

ok, thank you very much. That was the answer I was looking for. I can make all my settings and I will have it when I want them. Even in the prefrences. Thanks

I tried to make changes to my prefrences and then save the file, then I change things in the prefrences and it did not save them. I know that I can save my veg file but I would like to save my prefrences so that I don't have to go through the hassel of remembering what changes I made.
