It's usually best to always have the latest version of any software as it has many fixes as reported by other users. But of course the old addage 'If it aint broke...'

Having the latest version may keep you from coming back to the Forums asking why somehting is not working the way it should. OR, why does it not do what it is supposed to be doing. Or, you get the idea, right. Instead of being here to get problems fixed you can spend your time in the Forum learning how to get the most out of your software. I'm sure I would have to stand in line to tell you all the wonderful features of VEGAS but trust me if you don't have the latest version you may end up spending lots of time trying to figure out why your NLE isn't working correctly.

On the Sonic Foundry site there is a section under SUPPORT called UPDATES. This is where they post all the latest software updates to their products. You just download and install. They have made it pretty simple and straightforward for us all.
