Shared Plugin Transfer

OK, Vegas 8b running on new machine. I have VV5,6 and 7 on the other machine. Been awhile since I last handled the shared plugins. Can I or should I copy any and all plugins, keeping them in their respective folders to the new machine and then have VV8b find them? What is the best way? Thanks.

Copy your shared plugins folder from the old machine to a new folder on your new machine called Shared Plug-InsOLD

Then you can copy any of your older plugins to your Shared Plug-Ins folder if needed, but best practice is NOT to replace any newer version numbers with older ones.

BTW, any time I upgrade / install / uninstall / repair, or install a trial version, I always back up the Shared Plug-Ins folder. It's cheap insurance.
