Sharing Presets

I have two Vegas systems in my studio. I'd like to share text event presets and transition presets between the two systems. I've tried copying the presets to the appropriate folder on both systems. The files where there, but were not seen by the system they were copied to. I've also tried using the preset manager, but it looks like this is only for Sound Forge presets.
Anybody know how to do this? Thanks

Have you tried creating a project with clips containing the relevant presets, and then just copying the project across and opening it in the second Vegas?

This will get the text event to the other computer, but the saved setting will not show in the dropdown list. So there would be a lot of selecting and saving.

Yes you are right, sorry about that. I assumed the presets would appear too.

Yep, filmy gave the answer in the post Backing up Vegas 4.0e presets. In addition to moving the preset files you have to copy registry entries under the [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DXTransform\Presets] hive.

The key DefLocation will also tell you where you have to restore the files to. If you had Vegas 4 installed when you installed Vegas 5, then your Vegas 5 presets are being stored in your Vegas 4 directory! (at least mine are)

This is not an easy process to follow. A utility from Sony would be much appreciated.

Thank you. Yes, I thought that was the purpose of Preset Manager. I don't know why it doesn't work with Vegas presets.
