Yes in Wax it is 'Shatter3D', works only on 3d objects. You could apply the 'objects 3d' plugin on your video event and then apply the shatter3d over it to create the shatter.

Satish,

Thanks for the reply. However, I still can't get this to work. The media in Vegas I want to shatter is actually a *.png file on one track (the png file has a transparent alpha channel embedded within it).

As I understand your directions, I add Objects 3d to the host media (as a subset below or on the track below the HOST media?). And then I add the shatter plugin (again, as a subset or on top of objects 3d?). When I do that my png no longer shows up with a transparent backgroun in the Vegas preview window. It shows up with a black background.

Any suggestions?

Thanks, Dan

Yes that is a limitation, transparency will not show through 3d objects in Wax. My recommendation is to get the old pluginpac plugins from http://www.debugmode.com/pluginpac/ and use the old shatter plugin. Meanwhile i will add the 2D shatter into Wax 2.0c for purposes like these. Thanks
