Shine and Sound Keys

I was wondering if there was a software stand alone equivalent to trapcodes' shine or sound keys plugins? I really love what their plugins do but what i dont like is that they are plugins only for AE.

I think the Sound Keys plugin is the most interesting but would have no idea how to recreate that in Vegas. I think shine could be done with a lot of time effort. Are there any software apps out there that can do this with be tied down with AE?

You can do some of the "Shine" effects using Light Rays.

"Sound Keys" is intriguing (I saw the demo a long time ago and I'm still looking forward to coming up with ways to do it in Vegas). At this point, the best way would be a script that analyzes a WAV file and generates track motion keyframes.
