I'm definitely interested in any info sources also as I'm considering doing the same thing with Hawaiian footage and music. You don't see too much of that in the other libraries.

yep - HUGE market for stock footage at REASONABLE prices..

Think the stock footage market is based on the old model of ANY one producing professional level videos must be rich & have $100,000s into equipment and $100 for a couple clips is no big deal...

Its a different world... pro quality cameras are affordable to average joes and you don't need a studio with $100,000s of editing hardware to produce pro quality videos... ya just need vegas baby! vegas

I'll be ready to invest in some stock footage for a fair price ;)

oh, and i can't WAIT for the next generation in digital storage (blu ray discs..ect)

Stock footage is nice - but it also has to be handy (as well as best possible quality). DV tapes are good for quality, but rewinding & fast fowarding to what you want is a real bummer... being able to pop in a 120+ gigabyte disc, and clicking a button to get the 1 clip you want is going to be real nice... can't wait.
