I have searched this forum for an answer of this
basic (silly) question:
Must I have Win XP Pro to get this?
I have Win XP Home and cannot find dual monitor options there.

You need either a two head video card or two individual cards.
For Windows XP (Pro or Home)
Now:
Go to your basic desktop.
Right click the screen
Then Properties>Settings - you should see two screens there
Click Identify to - well - identify the screens.
There is a scroll box that shows you the two cards - you can click either screen identifier and adjust the screen size and color resolution accordingly. You cannot adjust a bigger size or color space than your card will deliver, but you don't need a super expensive card to do this.
