I've just completed the sound design/edit and mix of a 30 minute short feature film, 'Death's Requiem', in Vegas 7.0c
The mix was completed in 5.1 for Dolby Digital but a stereo Rt/Lt mix was also output for layback onto stereo HD video.
The 5.1 mix was rendered as a multichannel WAV file then opened split into 6 separate mono WAV files to allow for differences in track layout on the Dolby Digital encoder for film.
An AC3 track was also output for DVD which I'm mastering in DVDA4.
Vision for the DVD was rendered from HD 1920x1080 targa sequence which will marry up to the ac3 audio in DVDA.
The film, directed by Marc Furmie, is destined for the film festival circuit so keep your eye out for it in 2007.
