Shortcut for reconnect to current device?

Whenever I open Vidcap or another instance of V4 (or do various other things) I lose my connection with my 1394 device (JVC SR-VS30U mini DV deck). When I go back to V4 I have to turn off the deck and then turn it back on to reconnect but I'm concerned about the deck and wondering if there is some kind of shortcut to "reconnect to current device". I can't even find it in a dropdown (like there is in Vidcap).

Nope, just clicking the External preview icon should do this. Odd you're having a challenge with this though. The only time I have difficulty is if I have a version of Vegas that's been on external view and I start to render, and then attempt to preview another version externally.

Hmmm..I think it must have something to do with the deck, because sometimes it won't reconnect even when I do click the external monitor icon on/off....piece o' crap...oh well thanks anyway Spot.
